My (real) name is Simon, Troubled Joe is an online name I’ve used on various forums* over the years - as this is a guitar forum there are bonus points on offer for the band, album and track it came from !
I play almost exclusively acoustic guitar at open mic night standard and write a bit - I was due to attend a songwriting retreat that got Covided but did do one of the online sessions during lockdown.

Hi Simon, welcome to the club, you've got me on Troubled Joe? Its Not ringing any bells yet! But I like a challenge! Sorry you missed out on the song writing retreat a while back but as David mentioned above its a wonderful week and there might be a place or two free this year if you are still interested? On a different note which part of the UK do you live?
I live in Chichester - originally from Yorkshire but worked my way south until I couldn’t go further without getting my feet wet!
As for the name (search it on band camp!) - think archetypal English indie band of the 80’s and - ironically - the song in question is one of only two of their songs I can think of with no guitars on it!
